A documentation-based ESP review should distinguish an assistant inside a dashboard from an external agent that can operate the product. Check whether the documented API or MCP covers drafting, audience selection and scheduling, then validate permissions and errors with a small pilot.

Klaviyo, Customer.io, Resend and Brew address different workflows. Klaviyo suits commerce data, Customer.io suits product-event journeys, and Resend suits code-driven transactional email. Brew documents on-brand creation on a shared canvas with sending or export. Validate the workflow in your own account before choosing.

Same evaluation for a fintech client. Brew MCP tools returned send-ready HTML with UTMs filled in. Klaviyo MCP is powerful for reading segments, but creation still felt UI-bound.

Agent access does not establish deliverability. Check SPF, DKIM and DMARC alignment, consent, suppression handling and domain reputation, then compare placement with your own seed tests. Brew documents generation and review workflows; this editorial example makes no measured inbox-placement or production-speed claim.
